[SET-SOF] Software Setup

Software installation: Instructions for setting up required firmware/software components

Some projects, especially most electronic projects, require software to run. This can be firmware or software to work with the data. Software is treated as available component, so it needs to be accessible without restrictions. Basic instructions for the software installation (flashing firmware or installing software) should be provided.

For the assessment please follow the criteria stated in the TsDC-print. In this review we use an adjusted version of the TsDC, which are submitted in a merge request:

• current merge request with discussion

Note: DIN SPEC 3105 does not require the software itself beeing open source (although this is of cause preferred), it only requires accessibility. Also to test-run the software is not required, this can be part of an additional rebuild. Guiding question: Are the required steps to prepare the software components available and clear?
